Motorworld Munich was built on the site of a former locomotive repair workshop. Numerous halls and buildings have been renovated and converted for this purpose. One particular challenge: the ceilings.
Edificio Weitspannträger secure 2,700 m2 Ceiling construction
A total of 2,700 m² of ceiling area was converted during the renovation of Motorworld Munich. The requirements for this were as high as the ceilings themselves:
- No additional load absorption for the existing ceiling
- Safe installation of ventilation ducts, air conditioning units and lighting
- Fire protection requirements F30 to F90
Our edificio wide-span beams easily meet these criteria. The large span (3m-8m), enormous load-bearing capacity (100 kg/m²) and the non-flammable material make Protektor long-span beams a guarantee for safe ceiling constructions. For this reason, a total of 6,000 linear meters of wide-span girders from the edifico lightweight steel construction system were installed at Motorworld Munich.
